it started small and grew…
with this customer investing in a programme of development for college management - to include 360° feedback, performance management capability, leadership and coaching skills, along with real world internal project work.
Sam initially designed bespoke modules to integrate into an internal programme of activities. Over the course of several rounds, the client’s trust grew, until the whole programme of activities, had been placed into Sam’s hands to develop.
The client valued the input of a partner who had new ideas and great tools to introduce and make things fresh. They even used the same programme to engage new talent for future positions through the programme, as well as asking for support to develop bespoke activities for specific teams with nuanced development requirements.
The chemistry was important here. Learners were receiving very specific feedback from their managers, peers and team members in the 360°activity. Drawing on the talent from a great pool of trusted learning professionals, and leadership and management experts Sam hit the mark and the learners and programmes facilitators swiftly built trust.
The use of the Strength Deployment Inventory™ (SDI®) added a range of benefits, and learners found this extremely useful to review along with their 360° and when reviewing and planning interactions with their managers, peers and team members.
Feedback on the workshops was very positive, and learners particularly liked the final part of the programme where they reflected on what they had learnt and shared tangible examples of application and results. This was great for our stakeholders too - learners themselves were providing qualitative and quantitative evidence that the learning had worked!
